You're billed monthly via LemonSqueezy. Your subscription renews automatically each month. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — your access continues until the end of the billing period.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

When you cancel, you keep Pro or Business access until the end of your paid period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your receipt data is preserved — only the higher-tier features are locked.

The Free plan is available indefinitely — no trial period needed. Install the extension, use it for as long as you like on Free, and upgrade to Pro when you need auto-scan or export features.

After purchase, you'll receive a license key by email. Open the ReceiptMe extension → Settings → License, paste your key, and click Activate. See the license activation docs for step-by-step instructions.

No. Email message bodies are read inside the Chrome extension and are never transmitted. Extracted receipts live in Chrome's extension storage on your device. The data we do send to our servers is limited to what's needed to extract a receipt: attachment bytes (for OCR), text snippets up to 2,000 characters (for category inference), and the attachment filename — these OCR/classification requests are not tied to your account. If you're on Pro or Business, your settings and category rules are also synced through our server, tied to your account email. See the Privacy Policy for the full data-flow breakdown.
